I started this project after witnessing a multitude of failures of management. However this is not about honest mistakes or unpredictable situations. I would classify failure in this context as the wilful blindness and incompetence that is not only avoidable and predictable but also the equivalent of childish ego where a "manager" prefers to see things fail than listen to someone with a better idea because this hurts their ego. So there is a duality in this project.
This is both about bad bosses and at the same time for people who are tired of watching failure after failure and are beyond the "I told you so" era of their professional work. It is an architectural deconstruction of the systemic forces that have failed for a long time and has brought the productive part of society to its knees. Nevertheless, as an engineer I want to not only point things out. I would like for people to learn and improve in the future. I think adopting this satirical/biblical approach will generate a body of work that will not only be pleasant (at least to some) but also be educational long term. This is my outlet to not only vent because despite the fact that I believe venting is useful, without a way out of it I believe we run the risk of this becoming more of a complaint than something actually productive.
Through serialised reports, I dissect the specific archetypes that dominate the corporate landscape. Whether it is the individual who excels at poaching credit for others work, or the manager who hoards resources to maintain a facade of indispensability, these patterns are predictable, documented, and avoidable. This project serves as a map of the landscape, documenting the descent into corporate rot, aiming to provide a clearer understanding of how these dynamics take root and how they might be dismantled.
I think this is definitely not for everyone but I hope that it is something that people that see through the corporate speak and systematic brain rot that has seeped in our professional lives will find it both entertaining and informative. I believe dear reader you will enjoy this.
